Sorry, It’s Like This
It happens like this:
You wake in the night suddenly remembering the words of your friend “You really do need a website if you want to sell anything”. And you turn the light on. There’s no paper or pen next to your bed so you drag yourself down the stairs in the dark (treading on something blunt but also sharp-feeling is optional) and get some. Then you start to pour your ideas out all over the paper. In the space of several hours you have it–the perfect website! You have the ideas, the colours, the graphics and the text! My God, you think, why didn’t I become a website designer? The world can’t do without me!
Only it did quite well without you before and you should NEVER have become a website designer (nor should you even remotely consider swapping jobs now…). That’s the horrible truth. Most people, sadly, just don’t know what they are doing when it comes to this specialist field. If you’re thinking of making an amazing website, get a pro to help you. Otherwise it’ll be a right old dogs dinner of a thing.
SEO and e-marketing is another thing. Search Engine Optimisation is critical where all facets of websites are concerned – from getting the right people to see it to begin with, to driving home enquiries which transform in to lucrative deals.
And don’t think you can learn about this and do it yourself. You can’t. But there are people who can, and all you have to do is type it in to Google to find a pro in your area.
